Count down to Christmas with this boozy version of an advent calendar. You'll have a perfect pour at the end of those long shopping days, and something to sip on during cozy fireside nights. Just try not to skip ahead and open any of the days early (wink, wink).

1.5" PVC pipe (24 pieces cut to 6" long)

24 mini liquor bottles
Step 1
Cut the PVC pipe into 24 pieces that are each 6 inches long. You can either do this at home with a pipe cutter, or ask them to cut it for you at the hardware store.
Step 2
Arrange the pipes into a tree shape. Here's the formation I used starting from the bottom of the tree: 3 pipes, 6 pipes, 5 pipes, 4 pipes, 3 pipes, 2 pipes, 1 pipe.
Step 3
First, hot glue each individual row of pipes together. Then stack each row into the tree formation and hot glue the rows together.
Step 4
Spray paint the pipes. I used a gold metallic color to add a gilded touch.
Step 5
While the paint is drying, use a scrap piece of pipe to trace circles onto cardstock, and then cut out the circles. You could also use a circle punch if you have the right size (1.5" diameter). For the cardstock, I used a variety of patterns in red and gold colors.
Step 6
Arrange the paper circles into the formation you plan to place them on the tree, and then stick number stickers on each circle. You'll need to number them from 1 to 24. You could also just write the numbers onto the circles if you don't have any stickers handy.
Step 7
Fill the advent calendar with assorted mini liquor bottles, varying the flavors and liquor types so each day is something new and different. Not all mini liquor bottles will fit, so stick to the smaller/slender bottle shapes.
Tip: You don't have to fill every day with liquor bottles. Instead, you could swap in candy or other treats.
Step 8
Use craft glue to glue the paper circles onto the front of the pipes. Overlap the top row over the row under it — it'll make it easier when pulling the circles off.
Step 9
Wrap a ribbon around the tree and tie it into a bow on top.
Mix up a new holiday cocktail each day.
