If you're like me, your microwave is one of the most utilized appliances in your kitchen. However, forgetting to cover your food while reheating can lead to unsightly filth and debris. This food buildup also causes foul odors that quickly take over your entire kitchen. Fortunately, this tutorial will show you an easy, all-natural way to clear the splatters and stink in mere minutes!
Things You’ll Need
-
Microwave-safe bowl of water
-
Lemon
-
Cleaning cloth
Step 1
Cut your lemon into thin slices, then place the slices into the bowl of water.
Step 2
Place the bowl of water and lemons in the microwave and heat for 2-3 minutes. When that 2-3 minutes is up, let the bowl sit in the microwave for another 2-3 minutes. The steam from the water and lemon will help loosen the stuck-on food in the microwave.
Step 3
Remove the bowl from the microwave and use your cleaning cloth to wipe away all residue. You'll notice how easy this step is due to the steam from the lemon water.
Step 4
Take the tray from the microwave and rinse it with the lemon water, then give it a good scrub.
Step 5
Put the tray back in its place and your microwave is now spotless and odor-free!
